The White House explained that the channel aims to gather the "most important moments of the Trump administration" in one place, with its content continuously updated. It also made the broadcast available via its website, alongside a news ticker featuring statements and updates issued by it, without clarifying whether the channel will live-stream all events in which the president and members of his administration participate. The launch of the channel coincides with CNN, MSNBC, and Politico filing a lawsuit against the Trump administration in objection to the barring of their journalists from entering the White House, considering the decision to violate press rights guaranteed by the First Amendment of the US Constitution.
